Term 2 week 7 4/5/6 News

4/5/6 News

This week the 4/5/6 students were learning about migrants who made a positive impact on Australia as a society. We are making media projects on our iPads. Rhiannon found out that her Mum went to school with the grandson of the designer who designed the Sydney Opera House!

In the 4/5/6 class we are still reading a novel called Barrumbi Kids. It is very interesting and helps us to understand how the Aboriginals lived and mostly about how they burn off the grasslands so that no big bushfires can occur.

Today the year 5 students brought in cupcakes, cakes and slices and they were great! And in two weeks' time we are looking forward to the year 4 student's cupcakes.

Last week our team A chess team won against our chess team B so well done. Neither team are playing this week but next week both teams will have two games against Gwandalan.

The debating team unfortunately lost against Tuggerah on Monday. Their topic was that ‘Primary School students should be banned from using the Internet' and they were the negative side, but don't worry we can still use the Internet.

The library is getting new shelves so we haven't been able to use it for a few weeks and we look forward to getting back in there.
