Welcome back to all of the wonderful Wyong Creek community. I am looking forward to another exciting term ahead. I hope you have all have survived the storm without too much damage and your children are feeling recharged for another busy term. I am certainly feeling recharged and I have some exciting plans for K/1.
K/1 have hit the ground running this week. They are very eager to be back at school and have shown great confidence during our first few lessons. During term two K/1 will continue developing our good work habits and routines, including the You Can Do It keys to success.
Our morning will begin with literacy groups and following Crunch and Sip we will be studying the wonderful Australianauthor,MemFox,andsomeofthemanybooksshehas written. After recess and fitness we will have numeracy groups focussing on the various Mathematics strands. K/1 will continue to increase their use of technology to give the children diverse opportunities to learn and demonstrate their learning.
Thank you to the adult helpers who give up their time to read with K/1 during our literacy groups, the children benefit greatly from having you read with them. If you are interested in coming in to help K/1 please come and speak with me to organise a time. Also please don't hesitate to speak with me at any time should you have concerns or questions.
