What an exciting week it has been! Yesterday we had our COGs excursion to Sydney Observatory and the Powerhouse Museum. We got to see the roof of the observatory open up, and we looked at the sun (safely) through a telescope.
At the Powerhouse Museum we got to be space cadets and we learnt about the Space Race. We also got to explore the experiments section with loads of hands on stuff. It was an amazing day!
We made our own quiet critters during a Visual Arts lesson. We get to keep them at home to watch us when we are doing quiet work.
We have been learning about fractions and length during Maths lessons. Years 1 and 2 counted how many hand and foot lengths each person could fit in one metre. Damon and Miss Williams had the same size foot! It was lots of fun.
We have been learning how to write letters during English lessons and we have written some very persuasive expositions too.
We now have to write all about our very exciting excursion yesterday. Thanks for a great week.
