Science and technology

Science and technology is mandatory for all students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics

STEM is an approach to learning and development that integrates the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Through STEM, students develop skills including: problem solving, creativity, team work.

On 20th November our Robotics team competed in the Great Sydney First LEGO League Competition. The students performed with great confidence and gracious professionalism in their 30 minute judging session. The judges were impressed with the team's ability to collaborate and share their knowledge and understanding. The students won the Motivate Award on the day.

In science and technology, students explore the natural and made worlds. They learn how to apply scientific and technological skills, knowledge and understanding across a broad range of contexts.

Science provides a way of inquiring about the world around us. It explores evidence and investigates ways to discover, develop and produce solutions to real world problems. The inquiry and skill-based nature of science opens doors to ideas and discoveries.
